Washington D.C.

Ashley Spillane is a youth voter engagement strategist whose expertise bridges the political, technology and entertainment industries. As a leader and entrepreneur, Ashley has over a decade of experience turning trends into action, which she currently applies as President of a strategic consulting firm called Impactual.

At the age of 30, Ashley took over as President of Rock the Vote and was quickly credited with “reviving the 90s-era voter registration juggernaut.” During her tenure, Ashley developed and implemented a fresh, creative strategy to rebrand the aging organization. In her first six months, she launched the Turn Out for What campaign, which featured a viral music video with Lil Jon and Lena Dunham and PSA by Kendall Jenner. This campaign helped generate a record number of hits to the organization’s website – twice as many voter registration applications as the previous election cycle; and a significant increase in funding, partnerships and in-kind contributions the organization.

As a frequent writer, commentator, and speaker, Ashley has appeared on MSNBC, CNN, FOX, Bloomberg, NPR, and Al Jazeera. And she’s been tapped for her thought leadership by a wide-range of publications including Rolling Stone, Time, Glamour, Elle and US Weekly. Ashley was named a “Change Agent” by Marie Claire in 2014 and a “Rising Star” Campaigns + Elections magazine in 2012.
